External Verifier - Skills for Work: Creative Industries

Applications are invited for the role of External Verifier – Skills for Work: Creative industries (VG 510).An External Verifier is responsible for external verification and qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by Qualifications Scotland.The prime role is to participate in verification of the qualifications to ensure that national standards are maintained. Applicants will be expected to have relevant experience and knowledge of the areas to be verified and have knowledge and understanding of current practices. Should applicants require release from their employer (Scottish schools and colleges only), they should discuss this with their employer before making an application as approximately 5 days of release is anticipated for visits between February and May. Applicants from the private sector must secure their employers' permission or undertake duties in their own time. The successful applicant will receive mentoring and training for the role. Fees and expenses are paid for duties undertaken.All successfully completed applications will be auto acknowledged.
