Principal Verifier - Practical Metalworking

We have a new opportunity for a Principal Verifier (PV) for Practical Metalworking. The PV role for Practical Metalworking is an enhanced role as it now includes the assessment development of the National 5 practical activity. 

A PV is responsible for communicating and maintaining national standards for the qualifications within their remit. Additionally, the PV must ensure that all tasks associated with the quality assurance of internal assessments within their remit are carried out within the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA.

The primary role is to manage team members, in the delivery of external quality assurance for qualifications in Practical Metalworking, to ensure that national standards are maintained. This is essentially carried out during verification activity and leading Understanding Standards events.

The PV may require up to 8 days release in the full contract period and will also be required to undertake duties in their own time.

This role attracts a responsibility fee as well as a daily rate for duties undertaken in own time. 

Interviews for successful applicants will be via Microsoft Teams early August.
