Team Leader - Physics: Advanced Higher Question Paper

We are inviting applications for the Team Leader role in Advanced Higher Physics for the question paper component. Applicants must have a proven track record in marking the Advanced Higher Physics question paper. 

The Team Leader will support the Principal Assessor whilst leading a team of Markers. The primary role is to manage Markers to ensure that national standards are being consistently applied and maintained. The contract specification, selection criteria and key performance measures for the Team Leader role provides more information.  

The Team Leader will require up to 7 days release and 6 days own time. We cannot provide specific dates until the procedural programme is finalised. Duties will start beginning of June and run into the second week of July. The release request also includes appeals in September 2026. 

Team Leaders must be able to manage a team of markers during the live marking period, so availability in own time at evenings and weekends should be expected. Release and or own time fees will be paid for procedural meetings. A responsibility fee will be calculated on the number of markers assigned to you at the start of live marking period. Marking fees for scripts marked also apply.
