Visiting Verifier - Practical Metalworking

We are recruiting Visiting Verifiers for N5 Practical Metalworking who will undertake duties starting in March 2026.

A Visiting Verifier is responsible for supporting the Principal Verifier in maintaining national standards by ensuring that all tasks associated with the quality assurance of internally assessed units and components of course assessments are carried out within the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA.

The primary role is to support and quality assure the work of SQA centres, to ensure that national standards are being consistently applied and maintained.

Successful applicants will be required to attend a mandatory training event in March 2026 in Glasgow. Centre visits will be carried out and completed throughout March - May 2026. Up to five days release and or own time will be required to undertake visits. Release and or own time fees will be paid as well as travel expenses.
